Submit For ECF Grading
This displays the results of submitting a tournament for ECF Grading. It displays a summary of the tournament and any problems with the submission file. Colour coding is used to highlight the different types of message.
It is recommended that you use the ECF submission checker before sending in any files to the ECF for grading. Tournament Director for Windows is kept up to date, so that any file created by Tournament Director for Windows should be a valid ECF Submission file. However this can not be guaranteed as the rules change over time.
The 'Publish Tournament to the Web' button allows you to submit the tournament results to the Tournament Director for Windows Results Service on the internet. See Publish Results to the Web for more details.
Summary Tab
The Summary tab displays key information about the submission of the tournament. Event code, number of players, number of results, number of players with at least one result, number of new players, submission index and most importantly the number of errors.
If the system identifies any errors, it will not create the submission file. Details of the errors are displayed on the other tabs. These errors must be corrected and then the process re-run to create a valid submission file.
If you double click anywhere on this tab, the system will display the Tournament details dialogue, and the details can be updated. The details on this tab will not reflex any updates made.
Event Tab
The Event tab reports the details for the tournament. If all details are correct a simple confirmation message will be displayed.
Full details are displayed for the tournament. Any missing details are displayed in red. To update the tournament details, double click on the dialogue and the Tournament details dialogue will be displayed and the details can be updated. The details on this tab will not reflex any updates made.
The ECF Game Fee is calculated and displayed, so long as the ECF Game Fee rates have been entered on the Options dialogue (Tools->Options...) and the ECF Game Fee details have been entered on the tournament. Players with an ECF Membership No are exempt from the ECF Game Fee.
Players Tab
The Players tab is the main tab and displays key details about the players in the tournament.
It lists each player in the tournaments:
- If the player has an ECF Code, their details are checked against the details held on the ECF Grading List. Any differences are highlighted. Any additional data is acknowledged.
- If a player does not have an ECF Code the system looks at the ECF Grading list for potential matches. All potential matches are listed with a 'percentage' match to show the likelihood of a correct match. The data is also validated to make sure it is complete.
If you double click on a player, the Player details dialogue is displayed and player details can be updated. The details on this tab will not reflex any updates made.
Results Tab
The Results tab display details of the total number of results included on the file. A cross table for the results is also displayed. The cross table can be compared back to the cross table from the tournament to check that it is complete.
Results can not be updated double clicking on this dialogue. Results can only be maintained on the Tournament view.
File Tab
The File Tab allows you to view the contents of the file (if required).
